Note: In USA, the visa services are handled by VFS Global, an official outsourced partner of Embassy of India, USA. Visa approval decisions rest solely with the Indian Embassy or Consulate.
Important: As per VFS USA documentation requirements, E-1 visa applicants (excluding intra-company transferees and NGO workers) must receive their salary locally in India. This requirement must also be clearly stated in the applicant's employment contract.

Submit Online, Print and physically sign. Apply Here →
Original Passport
Passport Valid for at least 6 months with two blank pages
Photographs
Two recent passport-size photos (2 x 2 inches), with white background
Educational Documents
Bachelor's/Master's degree or professional certifications. (Non-English documents must be translated and apostilled.)
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Updated and in English

💼 Employment Documents

Offer Letter
Formal job offer from the Indian employer
Original Employment Contract
(Signed by both parties)
Must include: Place of work in India, Annual salary (minimum USD 25,000), Job designation, Duration of contract
Company Registration Documents
Certificate of Incorporation or other valid registration documents for Indian entity

Confirming responsibility for the applicant's activities and conduct in India

Important Notes:
  • The salary threshold is not applicable to ethnic cooks, language teachers (except English teachers), or diplomatic staff.
  • The request letter from the Indian employer plays a key role in the Employment Visa application process.
